After the Kilmarnock 2-2 Hibernian, and the ‘amuse bouche’ of Ireland 37 -27 Wales, we watched a nail-biting finale which saw Scotland get many ‘lucky decisions’,  ‘bounces of the ball’ and in general, ‘great fortitude’, apparently some of their play was quite good too. Many thanks to former member Hamish Watson for leaving Prestonfield Golf Club to concentrate on the rugby, time we all believe has been well spent. Congratulations to Hamish and all of the Scotland squad on a great performance today, and our commiserations to the England squad who came north in great heart as they sought the Grand Slam. A great game to watch and as the pictures show, an entertaining evening for the golfers too. My money’s on Ireland but who knows who’ll win the 6 Nations this year.
