The Spring aeration and top-dressing programme got underway on Monday 14th March with fine spring weather helping the aeration programme.  Unfortunately this good weather did not last with sea harr, mist and drizzle causing us to delay the operations until the return of more settled weather.

However with the ground conditions beginning to get drier and firmer we have begun with the playing surface preparation and anyone playing during the week or this coming weekend, will begin to see the golf course taking on some definition.

I must once again must take this opportunity to remind all golfers to repair their pitch marks, some greens are showing a high number of unrepaired ones which can take up to 3 weeks to recover if left unrepaired too long.
