As the pictures suggest there’s still a lot of snow on the course and its not going to vanish overnight without a rise in the temperature, but as the clubhouse roof suggests a bit of heat does cause snow to melt.

As the roads open up and the delivery backlog gets up to date normal service should be resumed by next Saturday when the re-arranged Scottish Golf AGM takes place at Dalmahoy. Thank you to Alan Dickson for clearing the pathways and an area in the car park to allow the Belhaven delivery to make it today.

We will hopefully have a texas scramble to look forward to and more information on this is available on line and  from Scott, Chris or Dan in the Professional’s shop.

The bar closed early again today as you can imagine, nobody wants to brave the cold. We will keep updating daily and if you are coming to the clubhouse please phone ahead just to check what is open. Painting in the lounges continues this week.

Hopefully this last blast of winter will pave the way for a wonderful golfing season ahead.

Those of you who want to warm up by practicing can see from the pictures that, although the gritters haven’t made it to Melon Way, the practice area and the nets are almost accessible. We’ll let you know when they are!
