Weather permitting, the weekend starts on Friday with the first of the Captain’s new member’s roll up. New and existing members will be meeting up on Friday at lunchtime with the first tee time from 1pm. All members who have been itching to get out will be delighted to have a warm up for the weekend. Its been a while and with many links courses down in East Lothian closed it’ll be a superb when we are safely playable again.
On Friday night members and their guests are invited to see Hibs v Hearts on the big screen and this match kicks off at 7.45pm – why not play the golf, ordering a cheese board before you go out then stay and watch the match, if you’re arriving nearer kick off, we recommend you phone the chef at lunchtime and order an evening snack.
Saturday 2.15pm needs no introduction, Ireland v Scotland. Will it be a re-run of Cardiff or a fortnight ago against the English at Murrayfield. Come along to watch what should be a fantastic spectacle and a busy partisan clubhouse.
Sunday will see the Old Firm on the big screen with kick off due at high noon while Man Utd v Liverpool will be on the smaller screen (or vice versa depending on demand), while the rest of us enjoy the carvery in the restaurant. The Mother’s Day carvery is filling up fast so please contact our chef Scott to ensure a table.
Bar Prices will not be rising until April 1st so you can continue to enjoy the current prices with your 10% member’s discount. Additionally to celebrate the arrival of Summer mixed Fruits cider, the tins of flavoured Belhaven Thistled beers, eg Grapefruit, will be on special at £1.50, from Friday, while stocks last.
