Many people have asked about the evolution of the course from the James Braid classic to the brutal tree lined fairways we see nowadays.

There’s more and more being added to the museum in the committee room which will be the warm hub this winter when the main lounge bar and restaurant will be closed earlier during the week.

I dont remember the first clubhouse but I think that could be a young Jimmy Brash in front of the shop, maybe Jack Burnside or one of our older members recall the person.

I do remember getting shouted at to keep off the grass in front of the clubhouse in the middle one some time in the 60’s.

The balcony in the middle picture with the seats made for great viewing during the great Championship Finals of the 50’s & 60’s, just ask Jack, Bill Middleton or our Honorary President, Findlay Black.

We’d love to here from members which they think is the best or remember as the best.
