Congratulations to Alan Blaney, Ian Ross and Gordon McDonald for hitting the post with 3 numbers in this week’s lottery.

As we said last week, with the countdown to Christmas and Hogmanay, if the Jackpot isn’t won over these 3 weeks, there’ll be £100 to share among anyone who gets three numbers, with the money being credited to your card.

There were 302 entries for the lottery drawn by our Head Greenkeeper, Douglas Mackenzie and for the lucky trio, £33.33 has been credited to their account.

Hogmanay is the next lottery and continues being a bumper draw with the Jackpot raised to £2720.

The jackpot numbers this week were 2-7-10-15 and drawn at 10:05am by Douglas Mackenzie.

Remember the last time to enter the Hogmanay lottery is 9:59am on Hogmanay.

The rollover takes the jackpot up to £2720 – so good luck for next week!

Hopefully we’ll have a winner before the AGM on January 15th 2019.

New Year Party – £25 per ticket – from 7:30pm to late – please pay for your ticket at the bar using your club account – 2 tickets still available

Composite course – The composite course is in effect, and we’ve had a lot of positive feedback with the set up, particularly the 1-18-17 start, which some have suggested could be a favourable way to change the course. If you have any comments on it please send an email into

We’ve had a lot of comments in already and whether you like it or hate it, please let us know.

If you’re part of a sweep, why not send in an email on behalf of the 10-20 in your sweep and say how you’d like your course set up.

The comments have ranged from change it permanently, to make the 17th the 1st, to don’t touch a thing, its a James Braid course.

Donations for Centenary Committee – The centenary is fast approaching and the centenary committee are looking for any donations that club members might be able to provide. One suggestion that’s been made is that we should have free coffee, encouraging people to donate the price of a coffee to the centenary fund every time they have a cup, by placing a collection box on the bar. Council will look to discuss this at their next meeting.
