Women's Open Texas Scramble Rules

This is a Tex-Mex Scramble format played from the Green Tees with each team member to contribute a minimum of 5 drives, of which at least 1 must be one of the par 3s (2nd, 5th, 9th, 13th or 16th). The name of the player whose drive was used at each hole should be noted on your card. There is no need to note the driver after each person has completed the necessary drives. An example of playing a hole – Player A, Player B, Player C all tee off on a par-4 hole – Team decide Player B’s ball is in the best position – Player A and Player C (not Player B) then play their second shots from that position – Team decides Player C’s ball is in the better position on the green – Player A and Player B (not Player C) both putt from that position – Player B goes first and misses, Player A then holes the putt and the team mark a birdie 3 on their scorecard. There is no fixed order of play and 'ready golf' should be played to help maintain the pace of play. For example if one player wants to wait until the green is clear before taking their shot while another shorter-hitting player can safely take their shot without fear of reaching the green, the shorter hitter should play first. In line with Prestonfield Golf Club's Use of Motorised Transport policy, any person wishing to use a buggy on the day should contact the competition organiser in advance to seek approval.

The contact for this competition is Barbara McQuillan (07581 541 798)
